Our Roots
We’re a home-grown modern Mexican restaurant
with our roots right here in Seattle. We serve a variety of fresh
and spicy flavors whose origins come from south of the border. We’ve
blended these exciting tones with the unique styles and flavors
inspired by authentic Mexican cuisine.
Our Atmosphere
Our décor is designed to welcome you to a vibrant,
fun, high energy, modern and inviting atmosphere. You will experience
warm and friendly service with great food and outstanding presentation.
We are today’s version of a great Mexican dining experience
and we know you’ll see that when you walk in the door.
Our Chef - Marco Chavez
A 3rd generation chef, Marco started cooking at six
years old. He would come home after school and work side by side
with his father at their families’ bistro-style restaurant
in Zamora Michocan, Mexico. Marco’s inspiration comes from
his love of traditional authentic Mexican cuisine. He grew up on
ceviche (which his father made religiously every week), “anything”
quesadilla and Chicken Pipian. Chef Marco has brought this incredible
dish with him to Sonrisa, basing it on a recipe that’s been
in his family for 60 plus years.
